Folks,
Here's a forum topic that we can use to track equipment that is known to work with WolfPrep for the Fall 2007 semester. Please feel free to update it with any information that you have.
We have a similar topic for hardware that we know isn't working, and a list of current WolfPrep issues. |

Dell OptiPlex 745
Pentium M Dothan, 1.8GHZ, 2 MEGB, 400FSB
2 GB Memory, 80 GB SATA hard drive
Serial ATA HITACHI MALL FORM FACTOR DVD+/-RW
Notes:
SuSE network drivers for the Broadcom ethernet seem a bit slow to me. Performance once Windows is installed is fine.
If you're using the 2007-08-14 or later WolfPrep CD-ROM, then you don't need to change the SATA mode in the BIOS -- it can run in "normal" mode. If you're using an earlier CD, then the SATA controller NEEDS TO BE IN "LEGACY" mode during installation.
Nero 6.X WILL NOT WORK with the SATA DVD. Nero 7 will, but we're not licensed for that. |
