|
|
The way we make apps available before they are shipped is a little different this year. Some changes were made to give people more time to reinstall machines and create customized images.
Members of the AppTest group will still be able to run newly created apps on their workstations before the apps are shipped by clicking the “Show Test Apps” icon and pressing F5.
Now - 7/24
If “Show Test Apps” has been run on a workstation, both the old and new versions of the apps will appear in your NAL if you are a member of the AppTest group. Workstations that have not had “Show Test Apps” run are not affected.
7/25 - 8/8
The new apps will appear in in the NAL for any user of a workstation if “Show Test Apps” has been run on it. The versions being replaced will not show up for any users. This is necessary so that the old versions don't overwrite the new as the apps image is being built and after it is released. Workstations installed during this time using the new apps image will only have the new apps and the old versions will not be available. Existing workstations that have not had “Show Test Apps” run are not affected.
8/9 and After
The new apps will appear in the NAL whether or not “Show Test Apps” has been run.
